What is Yoga? In simple terms, the yoking of two things breath and movement together. Yoga is noticing when we are out of sync with our needs, and clarify our path to ease. For instance, if we live with tightness all day, it is a distraction from our activities, it is telling us something needs changing. In yoga, we pay attention, practice tuning-in (rather than distraction), and notice what needs to happen to support the muscle and release the tight feeling. We then may come to realize the source of that tightness, stress, and dis-ease and how to relieve that. Finally, we bring awareness to how we can disrupt this cycle and live and move with wellbeing and in harmony. 1-on-1
I will help you find your own flow. Special attention to posture, detail of asana (pose), and breath awareness. Great for beginners, non-believers, athletes, or those recovering from surgery or illness.
Meditation 101
Learn to increase feelings of calm and relaxation, improve focus, and reduce stress and anxiety (without sitting cross-legged in silence for an hour). I’ll teach you a SIMPLE way to start that is enjoyable and do-able that will bring you benefits!
